Congratulations! We are proud to announce that WFU Biology members have had the following proposals funded:

Dr. Sarah Esstman‘s proposal entitled “Rotavirus Genome Replication and Virion Assembly” has been funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Dr. Nicholas Kortessis’ proposal entitled “IHBEM: The fear of here: Integrating place-based travel behavior and detection into novel infectious disease models” has been funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).

Dr. Regina Cordy’s proposal entitled “Investigating the role of oxygen on Plasmodium multiplication rate” has been funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Dr. Miles Silman‘s proposal entitled “NISAR MISSION CALIBRATION AND VALIDATION” has been funded by the NASA / California Institute of Technology.

Dr. Carol Mitchell‘s proposal entitled “Science and Capacity Development for Peruvian National Parks” has been funded by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.

Dr. Gloria Muday‘s proposal entitled “Revealing The Dynamics Of F-Actin In Tomato Pollen Tube And Its Response To Temperature And Ros” has been funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Dr. Miriam Ashley-Ross‘ proposal entitled “Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) Assignment” has been funded by the National Science Foundation.

Dr. Gloria Muday‘s proposal entitled “NSF Type-2: Climate-Resilient Opportunities for Plant Systems (CROPS): Building a North Carolina Ag-Tech Innovation Corridor” has been funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and North Carolina A&T University.
