BIO 255 Course watching for birds in Florida

Birds 101: Wake Forest students head to Florida to find birds follows the story of Dr. David J. Anderson and Riley Herriman (’22), Wake Forest’s Communications & External Relations’ student photographer, over the Spring Break 2020 course BIO 255, Bird Taxonomy, trip to Florida. Dr. Anderson has been teaching this course since 1996.

Our department tries hard to connect students with organisms in their natural habitats, both to master course content and to break the increasing tendency for post-Millennials to have little acquaintance with actual nature.” – Dr. Dave Anderson, Professor of Biology
