SCHOLARS OFFICE FACULTY SUPPORT
Listed below are the names of faculty and staff who directly supported this year’s candidates through their work as part of review and selection committees for various awards.
STEM Scholarships Selection Committee
Dr. James B. Pease
Over the past year, more than 30 faculty and staff members were involved in supporting more than 70 candidates as they pursued nationally and internationally competitive scholarship awards. That support takes many forms. Led by the Faculty Directors and the Scholars Office, Committee members may: spread the word about various awards; answer questions and have conversations with interested students; review, evaluate, and provide feedback on students’ applications; interview potential candidates; and prepare endorsement letters for those competitions that require nomination. For those who make it to the finalist stage, faculty and staff also conduct mock interview panels to help students prepare for any questions that may come their way.
