MUDAY NAMED CHARLES M. ALLEN PROFESSOR OF BIOLOGY
Dr. Gloria Muday has been awarded the title of Charles M. Allen Professor of Biology effective July 1, 2019. This endowed professorship honors the life of Medallion of Merit award winner and Emeritus Professor of Biology Charles M. Allen (’39, MA ’41). Muday is a Professor in the Department of Biology, is the Director of the Center for Molecular Signaling, and is the Coordinator of the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major.
The Wake Forest Professorships are endowed positions and are among the highest honors the institution can bestow on our faculty members. The selection criteria included: exceptional skill and sustained dedication in the classroom; outstanding commitment to student learning and growth beyond the classroom; a wide-reaching and significant record in scholarly and creative work; and sustained exemplary service to the department, the discipline, the College, the University, and the broader scholarly community.
